“ Doing a project for the City and wanted to treat the crew to lunch. Not alot of options in this small town, but if you are in the mood for Mexican food, this is the place! Their menu is huge and the food was fantastic. I got the 3 enchiladas, and the crew ordered the fajitas (after seeing their plate, made me a little jealous. The restaurant was very clean (even the bathroom - which says a lot). The kitchen area was spotless and the customer service was very welcoming and friendly. Look forward to co.ing back for those Fajitas. ”

“ Jalapeño's: A Study in Surprises Our dining experience at Jalapeño's began with a paranormal event. The moment we crossed the threshold, a disembodied voice demanded to know our intentions. "Dine in or carry out?" it rasped from somewhere in the ether. I scanned the room — nothing. It spoke again, and only then did I spot a pair of eyes peering around the register screen like a very small restaurant ninja. Mystery solved. Ambiance: established. We ordered the fajitas to share, and they arrived with impressive speed — always a good sign. What was not on our bingo card was the blanket of melted cheese draped lovingly over the entire plate. Cheese on fajitas is not, on its face, a crime. But we are committed onion avoiders, and cheese, it turns out, is an excellent adhesive for exactly the vegetables you're trying to diplomatically relocate to the edge of your plate. Engineering challenge: accepted. The soundscape at Jalapeño's deserves its own paragraph. The kitchen produces a rotating cast of mysterious noises that kept me alert and mildly concerned throughout the meal. The drive-up window is equipped with an arrival alert that can only be described as a 1970s full-service gas station — I half expected someone to come out and check my oil. And somewhere in the establishment, a device emits a tone that is, I say this with love, indistinguishable from a cardiac monitor. The food was hot, so presumably everyone in the kitchen was fine. Probably. Now, the tortilla situation. Jalapeño's subscribes to a bold philosophical position: one tortilla, but make it enormous. This is apparently a regional tradition, not a Jalapeño's-specific eccentricity — but I feel it deserves documentation regardless. One tortilla. The size of a hubcap. You will make it work. Despite the scavenger hunt for onions, the existential tortilla math, and a dining soundtrack that belongs in a David Lynch film, the food was genuinely good and the service was fast. We'd go back. We'd bring tweezers and maybe a defibrillator, just to fit the vibe. ”

“ This has been our regular breakfast stop when visiting Florence. I truly enjoy the breakfast burritos. This visit we had some time and decided to dine in instead of our usual to go burritos. I decided to try something besides the usual, when I was asking the server questions, she would visibly roll her eyes with each question. The food was a little salty but still good. ”
